Ben is the fifth generation of his family to work in flooring, and he grew up in and around the Dixon store. His experience covers large commercial installations and detailed residential design work alike, so he is as comfortable reviewing a set of project specifications as he is helping a homeowner decide between two carpets.

For Ben, ownership means accountability for every job that leaves the building. That standard is the reason customers keep coming back, and often send their neighbors with them.

Joe serves as Integrator, overseeing day-to-day operations across Boss Carpet One and working closely with the company’s leadership team to keep departments aligned, accountable, and moving toward shared goals.

With more than a decade of experience at Boss Carpet One, Joe brings a deep understanding of the business to his role. He focuses on strengthening communication between departments, supporting company leaders, improving systems and processes, and ensuring the organization continues to operate effectively as it grows.

Michelle leads the office and accounting functions for Boss Carpet One, bringing more than 30 years of experience in construction-related businesses. She oversees billing, vendor records, project paperwork, payroll, financial reporting, and the administrative systems that keep both the retail and commercial sides of the company running smoothly.

As a key member of the leadership team, Michelle plays an active role in the financial and operational direction of the company. She works closely with department leaders to maintain accurate information, strengthen internal processes, and make sure the business has the structure and controls needed to operate effectively as it grows.

Known for her organization, attention to detail, and ability to stay a step ahead of what the company needs, Michelle brings consistency and accountability to the day-to-day operation while helping shape the systems that support the continued growth of Boss Carpet One.

Bill Whiteley leads the commercial side of the business and manages many of our largest and most complex projects. Much of his time is spent in the field, coordinating installation crews, managing schedules, and making sure each project is completed to the standards our commercial clients expect.

With commercial work, challenges are inevitable. Bill is known for staying focused when plans change, solving problems quickly, and finding practical ways to keep projects moving without losing sight of the schedule, quality, or customer expectations.

His hands-on approach and ability to manage the many moving parts of a commercial project help keep jobs organized from planning through completion.

Brian Strock leads our operations team and installation crews, helping ensure projects move smoothly from scheduling through completion. He also supports the commercial department by developing detailed, accurate estimates and working through the logistical challenges that come with complex projects.

When a situation requires a practical, well-thought-out solution, Brian is often the person the team turns to. His hands-on approach, technical knowledge, and ability to work through problems make him an important part of both day-to-day operations and larger project planning.

He is also the person most likely to fix, build, or improve whatever the building needs that week.

Nick supports the sales team behind the scenes, keeping orders, schedules, and customer follow up moving so nothing gets lost between the sale and the installation. He came to flooring from large scale operations management, where he supervised a staff of more than 180 and ran daily operations for an attraction hosting over 460,000 guests a year.

He holds a degree in Recreation, Sport and Tourism from the University of Illinois, with a background in labor budgeting, scheduling, and profit and loss management. Outside of work he serves as an assistant regional director for Special Olympics Illinois.

Holly is an NKBA certified kitchen and bath designer with nearly 20 years of experience helping clients bring renovation ideas to life. Working from both our Dixon and Freeport showrooms, she combines a strong design eye with the technical knowledge needed to turn inspiration into a plan that is both beautiful and buildable.

Her work has earned industry recognition and has been featured in design publications, but Holly’s approach remains grounded in the details that make a project successful. She is thoughtful about layout, measurements, materials, functionality, and budget from the beginning, helping clients make informed decisions before construction starts.

That balance of creativity and precision allows Holly to create spaces that feel personal, cohesive, and practical while keeping the remodeling process organized from concept through completion.

Morgan Ross has spent nearly a decade helping customers make confident flooring decisions, from full new-construction projects to everyday home updates. Based in our Dixon showroom, she has built a strong reputation for combining product knowledge with a clear understanding of how flooring needs to perform in real homes.

Morgan also has a strong eye for design and is especially helpful when customers need guidance pulling a space together. She can help coordinate flooring with cabinetry, paint, furnishings, and the overall style of a room, while still keeping durability, function, and budget in mind.

Her experience with builders, plans, and whole-home selections gives her a broad perspective on how different spaces should flow together. That combination of design sense, practical knowledge, and straightforward guidance has made Morgan one of the leading sales professionals on our Dixon team.

Mike spent more than a decade owning and operating an insurance agency in Fulton, where he was a leading producer year after year. That work was built on in home consultations and long term client relationships, and it shapes how he handles a flooring project: understand the space and the budget first, then recommend the product that fits.

He is also a longtime head basketball coach at Fulton High School, twice named Clinton Herald Coach of the Year and the second winningest coach in program history. Expect the same preparation and follow through on your estimate.

Javier leads our Freeport location and brings a well-rounded background in sales, operations, and small business ownership to the role. His experience across several industries has given him a practical understanding of customer service, team leadership, and the importance of consistent follow-up.

He takes a structured approach to both managing the store and developing his team, with a strong focus on communication, accountability, and making sure customers receive clear guidance throughout the process.

Javier is also active in the local business community and knows the Freeport area well. That local perspective, combined with his problem-solving approach, helps him connect customers with the right products, resources, and solutions for their projects.

Kurt brings decades of flooring industry experience to his role managing our Freeport warehouse. His extensive product knowledge and familiarity with flooring materials make him an invaluable resource for keeping orders organized, materials accounted for, and jobs prepared accurately and efficiently.

Behind every successful installation is a lot of coordination, and Kurt helps make sure the right material is where it needs to be when the team needs it. His experience allows him to catch details, answer questions, and solve material-related issues before they become bigger problems.

Just as important is the consistency he brings to the job. Kurt is exceptionally dependable and takes pride in keeping the warehouse and the people relying on it moving every day.

Telli is one of the most versatile members of our Freeport team. Whether he is helping a customer choose the right flooring, preparing an order for an upcoming project, or making sure materials get where they need to go, he brings the same helpful and dependable approach to the job.

His hands-on experience with flooring materials gives him a practical perspective when working with customers. He understands not only how a product looks in the showroom, but also how it is handled, delivered, and ultimately becomes part of a finished space.

Telli is known for being approachable, willing to help, and quick to step in wherever the store needs him. Those qualities make him a valuable resource for both our customers and the rest of the Freeport team.
